Sativa dominant Apollo 13 is a cross between P75 and Genius, we’re not sure how the Brothers Grimm came to choose the name, but weapollo13-marijuana-strain-scope-review are sure that this is a superb variety, which is worth savouring any time you get the opportunity.

It’s quite hard to describe the taste of Apollo 13. The top notes are definitely herbal and on the sweeter side. The body and base, however, are very robust, being earthy and woody, some people say skunk. There is certainly skunk in the aroma, which is balanced by sweet, fruity notes and a hint of pepper.

The real selling point of Apollo 13, however, is its effect. This strain’s THC content is generally in the region of 18%, which provides an effective shot of pain relief and a cerebral high which is energetic rather than stratospheric. Because of this, Apollo 13 is known as a terrific morning strain for people who need to find their get up and go. In any case, this is definitely a day time variety and as such many users particularly appreciate the fact that most people find they can still focus clearly after using this strain. Another big plus of this variety is that it very rarely produces unpleasant side effects.

It’s a real shame Apollo 13 has become so rare because it is very easy to grow and is particularly well-suited to beginners and medical users who just want to be able to grow their own prescription conveniently. Even though it’s essentially a Sativa, it is very quick-growing (7 to 8 weeks) and on the shorter side, coming in at around 1.5 metres. Apart from needing a decent amount of food to support its growth and some support when in flower, it’s about as unfussy and resilient as any marijuana variety can be. It’s also quite good looking with deep

green leaves, orange hairs and a plentiful supply of resin crystals. Anyone who grows Apollo 13 needs to be prepared to get their fingers (or gloves) sticky when they’re undertaking plant training. Yields are very reasonable for such a quick-growing variety, being in the region of 400 g/m2.
