Champagne

As a hybrid strain, Champagne marijuana is another contender from the thriving cannabis horticulture scene in and around the Canadian city of Vancouver. Champagne is the result of crossbreeding the Hash Plant strain with a Kush.

Champagne cannabis has a sweetish smell reminiscent of good black hash, while the flavor is rather floral, like a dryish champagne. The high comes on quickly, initially as a cerebral rush which mellows to a relaxing body and mind stone. Medically, this weed can help with muscular pain and with stress.

The plants grow to a medium height, from 100 to 120 centimetres and the leaves vary from pale to mid green. The buds have a light covering of orange hairs and as harvest nears they become sticky with resin. Champagne has a THC level of around 15 percent.

The Champagne strain will do well indoors in both hydro and soil and it has a flowering time of eight to nine weeks. At harvest time you should get yields of between 300 and 400 grams per square metre.

You can grow this hardy plant outdoors in cooler northern regions as long as you keep it frost free and plant out the seedlings in a sheltered sunny spot. Harvest in the northern hemisphere is in late October.

Champagne marijuana fragrant flavor and pleasurably relaxed high make it popular with experienced tokers and novices alike.
