Cotton Candy Kush

Cotton Candy Kush is an Indica dominant strain that originates from Canada’s Vancouver Island where it has a thriving medical cannabis community. It’s a cross between an Afghani Kush and Blueberry strains. Blueberry has taken a total of four prizes in the High Times Cannabis Cup, including first place overall in 2000.

The smell will remind you of freshly dug earth combined with spices and the flavor has notes of pine and exotic fruit. There’s a distinct sweetness in the aftertaste which gives the weed its Cotton Candy name. People in the UK will be more familiar with the term candy floss, which is exactly the same as cotton candy.

This weed produces a relaxing high that will leave you feeling bright and smiling rather than couchlocked. Medical practitioners recommend it for stress and to alleviate poor appetite.

This weed grows to a medium height indoors but it can stretch to two metres outdoors. The shortish leaves are a light green in the early stages but turn darker as the plant matures. The buds have a coating of resin and are quite fluffy initially, becoming denser as harvest approaches when they take on a pinkish hue. THC levels are in the 12 to 15 percent range.

Cotton Candy Kush seeds respond well to cultivation indoors with the SOG method combined with careful trimming. Flowering time is eight weeks and yields are 400 to 500 grams per square metre.

You can grow Cotton Candy Kush seeds outdoors anywhere that has hot and sunny summers. The plants may need support as they stretch out towards the end of the growing season and harvest comes in mid-October.

If you like your weed sweet and fruity, then you’ll enjoy Cotton Candy Kush. It produces good yields and offers a relaxing stone that’s not overwhelming.

Cotton candy is my 2nd favorite strain, next to Candyland. I’ve been growing for quite some years now and these are by far both the most sensitive. However, the rewards are beautiful. I gave these strains nutes for a week longer than other strains, as they seem to take a bit longer then come on strong at the end. I kept my calmag in but dropped it to 3ml, and I kept the molasses in until week 8 as well. 3 gallon pots, 6 oz to 8 oz yields, 10 gallon initial flush, then straight water until they’re done.

I agree that this is a great website that seems far more professional than others.
I,too, wish the strain reviews would be a bit more in depth. Cotton candy kush is a great strain to grow, but newbies beware. I wouldn’t make this your first strain by any means. It needs a little more tlc than most are used to. Overall great strain for sog or scrog. Let’s kick these reviews up a notch and tell these folks things they don’t know. I.E. this strain tends to need a little more CalMag than most. Get down to the nitty gritty so we can ALL produce that AAA+ for us and our “buds”. Hardy Harry har. Until next time my friends.

Would like to see a better, perhaps increased selection on the strain reviews. I have been growing for years and you have one of the better sights for growers. Not a lot of nonsense and info seems legit. No matter how long you’ve been growing there is always something to learn!
