gmo-cookies-marijuana-strainGMO Cookies is almost totally Indica (90%) and is an inspired cross between two much-loved strains, Chemdawg and Girl Scout Cookies, thought up by Divinegentics.  It’s already being praised as one of the best of the strains created in 2017 and it certainly delivers on the three key counts of a great marijuana strain namely great benefits, great taste and a reasonable grow.

The taste leans to the side of Girl Scout Cookies, it’s sweet but also earthy, maybe slightly fruity and you can definitely pick up on the Kush heritage.  By contrast the aroma is definitely from the Chemdawg side, but the fuel element is softened by notes of coffee and fruit, especially plums.

According to laboratory tests by Divine Genetics, GMO Cookies can have up to 30% THC, which is frankly amazing for a strain which, to all intents and purposes is an Indica.  What’s more GMO Cookies not only gets to work quickly, providing almost instant relief for pain and mental issues, its effect is long-lasting and somehow manages to be both cerebral and comfortably stoney.  Basically, you can tell that, for all the THC, GMO Cookies is still an Indica, but it’s an Indica with a light touch, rather than one which is going to pin you to the couch for hours.

Overall, even though your average Indica is usually a night-time strain, this is not your average Indica and is definitely one for the daytime.  It’s recommended for the treatment of chronic pain, sickness and lack of appetite.  Because this strain is so very strong, it’s important to leave  yourself plenty of time to recover before doing anything complicated, particularly driving.

At present time, GMO Cookies only seems to be available in a regular, photoperiod version.  Presumably if the strain is as successful as it deserves to be, feminized and autoflowering versions will follow on soon.  In practical terms, this means that beginners could, quite feasibly grow GMO Cookies, but will have to be aware of the fact that it’s going to need a bit more attention than a super-easy autoflowerer.

In principle, GMO Cookies can be grown indoors and outdoors, although in practice the fact that harvest time is in the middle of October means that in practice you’d need to live somewhere very warm and sunny to do so.  Indoor yields are up to 450g/m2 and outdoors you can get up to 600g per plant.  GMO Cookies is not just compact but has great structure and branching with dense, resin rich buds.

I have a gorgeous little girl in my closet that was planted from a seedling on the first of November. It’s about a foot tall now. I’m wondering if it’s an autoflower because it’s already show female at the bud sites. It’s waaay young.

This is my 3rd time trying to grow I’m hoping this turns out better than previous. So, I recently got a GMO clone it wasn’t in the best condition. How can I revive this clone to keep it healthy?
