Polar Express

The Polar Express seeds available today are the result of an experiment with 20 different Kush strains. The conclusion at Auto Seeds was to cross a Californian Kush with the award winning Northern #5 and Lowryder. The consequence of such fervent research is an outstanding strain with a rarely rivalled potency and flavour for an autoflower.

Polar Express weed has a sweet and herbal aroma that is prevalent in the light smoke, which has undertones of incense and spice on the inhale, and sandalwood and hash on the exhale. The stone is slow to come on but is strong and affects the whole body, leaving you couchlocked but clear headed. Medically, this weed is suitable for patients with anxiety, depression and insomnia.

The Polar Express strain stays short, reaching between 30 and 80 centimetres. Its diminutive size and neutral smell when in flower make this an ideal weed to grow if stealth is a big consideration. Plants tend to produce a large single kola with a high bud to leaf ratio. It’s advised that you do not top or prune this plant if you want to maximise yields. The large kola is dense and covered in a large quantity of sticky resin making it very easy on the eye. THC levels have been measured as very high.

Indoors, Polar Express seeds explosive growth and structure make it an ideal strain for a SOG set up, thriving in both hydroponics and soil. To maximise yields but limit smell, the breeder recommends that this is grown under an 18/6 or 16/8 light regime. Grown in the right conditions, indoor growers can expect an impressive crop in as little as 60 days from seed.

Outdoors, the hardy nature of the Polar Express strain means that it can be grown in cooler northern climates. This characteristic alongside its short stature and neutral fragrance when in flower make it an excellent choice for guerrilla growers. Plant in May and you’ll be able to harvest as early as the end of July.

Polar Express seeds are a great choice if you’re looking for a potent yet diminutive weed strain. Its complex flavour will have the most ardent of connoisseurs drooling, and its hardy and forgiving growing habits mean it will produce abundant yields even in the clumsiest of beginner’s hands

    Hi Alison,
When you think your plant has finished its flowering period, the best way to tell if it is time to harvest is to examine the maturity of the trichomes. Here is a link for more information regarding trichomes http://grow-marijuana.com/harvesting.
