Snozzberry is an Indica-dominant cross between Purple Urkle and Snowdawg BX. The name Snozzberry comes from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In that book, snozzberries were a delicious fruit and their flavour was included in lickable wallpaper. In real life, Snozzberry is a well-respected strain of medical cannabis.

Although it is almost pure Indica (90%), Snozzberry has average THC in the region of 15% to 20% and moderate CBD. This makes it a great choice for people who value flexibility over raw strength. There is enough pain relief to treat quite a wide range of conditions. Additionally, there is a nice mental boost. The Indica genetics mean the high is relatively mellow and chilled. Basically, it’s like being in a really happy, playful mood rather than totally buzzing with euphoria. This then transitions into a deep body buzz. You might or might not consider it a full-on stone. You will definitely consider yourself way too comfortable to want to get up for a while. It therefore makes sense to have some snacks handy to deal with the marijuana munchies. You’ll also want some water. Snozzberry can be used during the day or at night.

Snozzberry has an indoor flowering period of 9 to 10 weeks.  The outdoor harvest is around the middle of October. Snozzberry’s Indica genetics help to keep this strain on the shorter side.  Indoors, Snozberry will generally average out at about 1.5M in height.  Outdoors, it is likely to grow a bit taller, 1.8M would be a reasonable expectation. Remember, however, that even Indicas can stretch beyond this if growing conditions are particularly good.

Yields will probably vary depending on the grower’s experience.  Beginners can expect around 300g/m2 indoors and up to 450g per plant outdoors. Those will more experience can push this up significantly. Snozzberry responds very well to good care and effective plant training. Snozzberry is a nicely robust strain. It has good resistance to mould, diseases and pests. It’s also reasonably forgiving of beginner mistakes. Complete beginners might want to start with an autoflowering strain. Everyone else should do just fine with Snozzberry.

In terms of taste and aroma, Snozzberry is a delicious blend of berries and hash.  It will probably be the berries you notice first.  Later, however, the deep, hash spices will make themselves felt more, becoming the dominant flavour.

Super Glue is an Indica-dominant cross between Gorilla Glue # 4 and old-school classic Northern Lights.  It is an excellent medical strain for those who need serious pain relief.

Even though Super Glue is 60% Indica, it can have over 28% THC.  In addition to being very powerful, it is also very fast-acting and long-lasting.  These are all reasons to treat this strain with great respect.  Basically, Super Glue was created to deal with the sort of serious physical and mental conditions which would simply be too much for most strains.  The main effects of this strain are pain relief and a sense of freshness and euphoria.  It does, however, also create a strong feeling of physical relaxation.  This isn’t exactly a body stone but is deeply comforting.  All of this points to using Super Glue in the daytime – with appropriate caution.

super glue strain

Another point to remember is that Super Glue is guaranteed to bring on the marijuana munchies.  If you’re using it to treat appetite loss, then have your meal ready and waiting before you medicate.  Otherwise, have some light but filling snacks handy along with plenty of water.

One of the many reasons for Super Glue’s immense popularity is that it is both reasonably quick and reasonably compact.  The indoor flowering time is about 8 to 10 weeks and the outdoor harvest is at the end of September.  Indoors, plants tend to grow between 1.2M and 1.5M tall and outdoors they can reach up to 2M in height.

Yields are very decent.  Indoor growers can expect up to 600g/m2 and outdoor growers could collect as much as 700g per plant.  As you would expect from the THC content, the flowers are dense and super-sticky.  If you’re lucky, you may find some leaves and flowers turn red or purple towards the end of the flowering period.

Super Glue is actually a very good option for anyone looking for a “low-hassle Sativa”. It has good resistance to mould, diseases and pests. It’s also relatively forgiving of growing mistakes. Complete beginners might want to look elsewhere. Anyone “moving up” from autoflowers should however, be fine.

In terms of flavour and aroma, Super Glue is rather like Gorilla Glue but noticeably less complex.  It is a straightforward but very pleasant smoke, filled with the robust, crisp sweetness of wood and red fruits.

Candyland by Grand Daddy Purp is a Sativa-dominant cross between Bay Platinum Cookies and Grand Daddy Purps.  Given its parentage and the fact that it was created by Ken Estes, it was inevitably going to be compared to its illustrious ancestor.  Fortunately, it stands up very well to the comparison.  In fact, it was the top Sativa in the 2012 KushCon Cup.

candyland strain

The average THC content is in the region of 14% to 19%.  There is also about 0.35% CBD.  This makes Candyland a “middle-of-the-road” strain in all the right ways.  In other words, it has enough power to treat a wide range of moderate conditions without being overpowering.  The high is light, motivating and happy rather than being a massive rush of euphoria.  It is followed by a deeply relaxing body stone.  This leaves you too comfortable to want to get up rather than pinned to your couch.  Another bonus of the moderate potency is that it is enough to stimulate your appetite without leaving you wanting to eat non-stop for hours.  All of this means that Candyland is a really flexible strain.  It can be used during the day or at night.  As always, however, make sure that you are fully recovered before doing anything complicated, such as driving.

Even though the Candyland strain is 75% Sativa it stays fairly compact.  Indoors, plants are likely to have an average height of about 1.5M and outdoors they may grow up to 2M or thereabouts.  It is also fairly speedy.  The indoor flowering time is about 8 to 9 weeks and the outdoor harvest is in early October.

Yields are very impressive, presumably thanks to grandparent Big Bud.  Indoor growers can expect up to 800g/m2 and outdoor growers up to 900g per plant.  Candyland will almost certainly need some support during the flowering period, especially at the end when the sheer weight of the bud can be too much for its slender frame and lead to branches snapping unless they are propped up.  Otherwise, Candyland is a very easy grow.  It has good resilience to mould, diseases and pests.

The buds themselves are a mixture of soft green and bright green tones.  The hairs are more dark gold than orange and there is enough THC to give them a frosty glitter.

In terms of taste and aroma, the Candyland strain has the berry sweetness of Grand Daddy Purple together with the musky, earthy sweetness of Bay Platinum Cookies.  Some phenos have a very light hint of chemical or fuel to them.

The Wedding Cake strain is a genetic cross of Girl Scout Cookies and Cherry Pie.  It tastes as good as the name suggests and also has compelling medical benefits.

Although this strain is an Indica dominant (60%) it has a very generous 22% to 25% THC.  This offers plenty of fast and effective pain-relief along with a pleasant head buzz.  The Indica genetics keep it all mellow, so the effect is a feeling of supreme happiness rather than a rush of creative energy.  As time passes, the head buzz turns into a relatively light but comfortable body stone, from which it is very easy to drop off to sleep.

wedding cake strain

The CBD content is unlikely to pin you to your couch.  It will just make you far too relaxed and cosy to want to get up.  With that in mind, it’s a good idea to be prepared for the marijuana munchies.

The Wedding Cake strain is probably best suited to use at night, however it would probably be fine to use it during the daytime.  The key point, as always, is to allow yourself plenty of time to recover from the stone.  In particular, make sure that you have your full concentration back before getting behind the wheel of a car.

This strain will grow happily indoors or outdoors.  Indoors it needs 8 to 10 weeks of flowering time and outdoors it will be ready to harvest in late September or early October.  As with most varieties of marijuana, Wedding Cake is only really happy in a warm, dry, sunny climate so outside of the Mediterranean basin, you will need to choose an outdoor growing site with great care or split the difference and use a greenhouse.

Indoor growers will be particularly glad to hear that the Wedding Cake strain is a nicely compact strain, with a growing range of about 0.8M (indoor minimum) to 1.5M (outdoor maximum).  It does, however, grow very much in the style of an Indica, meaning you will need to allow plenty of space for your plants to spread their branches outwards.

Yields are very decent, especially given the size of the plant and even an inexperienced grower could expect to collect up to 450g/m2 indoors or 450g per plant outdoors.  Experience growers could push this up quite substantially, 600g/m2 is far from an unreasonable expectation.

In terms of flavour and aroma, the Wedding Cake strain has a base of earth and skunk, topped with notes of sweet vanilla, creamy butter and fresh nuts.

Bruce Banner 3 is a cross between Colorado Ghost OG and Strawberry Diesel.  It can really produce some “hulking” yields of highest-quality marijuana with potent medical benefits.

This strain has 80% Sativa genetics, so it may not come as a surprise that it can have up to 25% THC, but what may, perhaps, be somewhat unexpected is the fact that Bruce Banner 3 also has 1% CBD.

The THC content makes itself felt first.  It punches away physical pain and negative emotional states and replaces them with pain-free positivity and energy.  As the initial head-buzz fades, it will be replaced by a deep, superbly-comfortable, full-body stone.  This will keep you beautifully couch-locked (or very close to it) so be prepared with some snacks and drinks and then allow yourself to drift off into the sweetest of dreams.

bruce banner strain

As you will have gathered from the previous comments, Bruce Banner 3 is definitely geared towards night-time use.  If you must use it during the day, please ensure that you can concentrate properly before doing anything complicated, especially driving.

In theory, Bruce Banner 3 can grow both indoors and outdoors.  In practice outdoor grows may be easier as this strain can grow very tall.  Indoors, it can reach a good two metres during its 8 to 10 weeks of flowering time.  Outdoors, it can almost reach almost four metres.  The challenge with an outdoor grow is that Bruce Banner 3 needs warm, dry, sunny weather right up to its harvest period, which is late September to early October.

Indoor growing presents several challenges.  First of all, you’ll probably need to use some plant training.  Even if you have plenty of vertical space, you’ll need to make sure that your lights can reach all the branches.  You are also going to need the judgement to feed a big appetite without overdoing the nutrients and water.

On the plus side, big plants have lots of space for bountiful bud and which is part of the reason why Bruce Banner 3 can yield up to 600g/m2 indoors or 1Kg per plant outdoors.  As an added bonus, the Kush genetics deliver a lot of resistance to mould, diseases and pests.

Overall we’d say complete beginners should only try Bruce Banner 3 if they are able to grow it outdoors.  In general,  however, this strain is fairly easy to grow if you’re comfortable dealing with large plants.

Animal Cookies is a cross between Fire OG and, of course, Girl Scout Cookies.  It’s one of the most powerful medical strains available and it also tastes great.

Even though this strain is 75% Indica, it can have up to 23% THC and up to 4% CBD.  This means that people new to Animal Cookies should remember to start low and go slow.  The pain relief is exactly what you’d expect from the headline THC figure.  It’s both fast-acting and effective.  The head rush, by contrast, is a bit more mellow, thanks to the Indica genetics.  Basically it’s more about blissful joy than about a full-on creative energy rush.  After the head buzz, you will transition into a very deep, utterly relaxing, full-body stone.

animal cookies strain

At 4% CBD, couchlock is a given.  Since the THC levels are very likely to make you hungry (and possibly thirsty as well), it’s a really good idea to have something to eat and drink nearby.

As you will have guessed from this description, Animal Cookies is very definitely a night-time strain.  If you must use it in the day time, then you’re going to need to be really careful about allowing yourself time to recover before doing anything complicated, especially driving.

Animal Cookies will grow happily indoors or outdoors, in a warm, dry, sunny climate.  Indoors it has a flowering time of 9 to 10 weeks and outdoors it will be ready in late September or early October.  The good news for indoor (and greenhouse) growers is that Animal Cookies is nicely compact strain.  It has a vertical growing range of about 150cm (indoor minimum) to 180cm (outdoor maximum).

You will, however, need to allow a decent amount of floor space to allow the plants to stretch out their branches.  This is a must for all Indicas in order to ensure good air flow.  If you do this, you should have a straightforward grow as Animal Cookies has very robust genetics.

This strain offers very reasonable yields.  Indoor growers could collect up to 350g per meter squared and outdoor growers could collect up to 450g per plant.  Visually, Animal Cookies looks much more like Fire OG than GSC.  In fact, it’s a very fiery-looking strain in general with its bright orange hairs, looking all the brighter against the frosty-white of the trichomes.

Similarly the taste and aroma of Animal Cookies is also more Fire OG than GSC.  It has a base of sweet wood and earth, topped by herbs and warm spices with dashes of menthol pine and citrus.

Tangie is a mouth-watering cross between California Orange and Skunk No.1. This strain isn’t just about the taste though, it has excellent medical credentials.

With about 70% Sativa genetics, Tangie has an average THC level in the range of 19% to 22%, along with about 0.1% CBD.  It’s very popular as a “wake and bake” strain and it’s easy to see why.  You start off with a fresh and light Sativa high, which acts like a tonic for body and mind. It’ll perk you up and make you feel like you’re ready to face anything.  Then, the high transitions into a light, but supremely comfortable full-body stone.  Basically it’s a “power nap”, which recharges your batteries and leaves you great to go!

tangie strain

Although Tangie is generally treated as a daytime strain, we think it would be possible to use it in the evening, thanks to the CBD content.  Basically, if you were looking specifically for a strain to use mainly at night, you’d probably want to look elsewhere.  On the other hand, if you want a strain mainly for daytime use, but with the option to use it in the evening if you need to, then Tangie could be a good choice.

In principle, Tangie can be grown indoors or outdoors, but the fact that one of its parents is California Orange should give you an idea of the sort of climate it needs to thrive.  Indoors it has a flowering time of 9 to 10 weeks and outdoors it will be ready in late September or early October.

Even though Tangie is a Sativa-dominant, it stays fairly compact.  The growing range is about 1.2M (indoor minimum) to about 1.8M (outdoor maximum).  Yields can be up to 550g/m2 indoors and 550g per plant outdoors.  Tangie is a pretty strain, with its frosty trichomes contrasting nicely with its fiery pistils (and, of course, the green nugs).  Just remember, the citrus smell can easily become overpowering unless you use good odour control!

In terms of taste and aroma, Tangie has much more in common with California Orange than with Skunk No.1. Although the Skunk is very definitely there as an undertone.  Having said that, the Skunk genetics probably contribute significantly to the fact that Tangie is very robust, with good resilience to mould, diseases and pests.  Absolute beginners might want to start with an autoflowering strain.

Alien OG takes its name from its parents Alien Kush and Tahoe OG Kush.  It is a very potent strain, which is capable of relieving severe medical conditions.

Even though Alien OG is a balanced hybrid, its THC level can reach up to 30%, although around 25% would be more usual.  This makes it an excellent choice for dealing with crippling pain and deeply negative emotional states.  The power of Alien OG means it should be treated with respect so, even if you’re familiar with medical marijuana, always follow the old advice to “start low and going slow”.

Alien OG Strain

As you might have expected from a balanced hybrid, using Alien OG is like an experience of two halves.  The first half involves the Sativa genetics and is a bright, sparkling head rush. It will blast away both physical pain and unhappy mental states.  The second half involves the Indica genetics and will make you deeply relaxed and dozy.  You will feel so relaxed it will be easy to drift off to sleep.

Alien OG can be grown both indoors and outdoors, although, it needs a mild climate to be happy.  Indoors it will be ready in 8 to 9 weeks. Outdoors you will collect your harvest around the end of September or start of October.  Indoors you can expect your plants to grow to about 1.2M tall. Outdoors they can reach up to 1.5M in height.  If growing conditions are exceptionally good your plants may grow a bit taller.  Indoor harvests are usually in the region of 350g/m2 and outdoors you will be looking at about 400g per plant.

Although Alien OG has balanced genetics, it definitely looks like an Indica.  The plants are quite attractive as they have dark green leaves covered in glittering white trichomes and colourful orange hairs.  It certainly smells like a classic Indica, with lots of menthol pine and citrus lemon.

When properly cured, Alien OG tastes very similar to Lemon Skunk.  It even has the same fresh pine top notes, but there is also a warm spiciness to it.  In fact there a definite sweet-and-sour tingle to the flavour along with more than a hint of wood.

As you might have guessed from the name, Purple Maroc is a cross between Purple Power and Maroc. This 50/50 hybrid was developed to stand up to some rough treatment without compromising on quality.

purple maroc strain

Even though Purple Maroc is 50% Sativa, it has a relatively modest 15% to 18% THC, along with moderate CBD.  This makes it a “good all-rounder” which can be used to treat a wide range of milder conditions at any time of day.  As always, however, make sure that you are completely recovered from the effects before you undertake any complex activity.

In many ways, Purple Mar0oc is a very interesting strain to grow.  To begin with, it’s known to be a speedy finisher.  Indoors it will need about 8 to 9 weeks of flowering. This may seem nothing special to those who regularly grow Indicas, but it is actually very quick moving for a strain which is half Sativa.  Outdoors, if you plant your seeds in April, you can collect your harvest around the middle to the end of August. Yes we did mean August.  The further south you live, the longer you can delay your initial planting, but you really want to have your seeds in the ground by the end of May to ensure that you’re harvesting no later than the middle of October.

What makes this speed really interesting is that Purple Maroc does a lot of growing.  Indoors you can expect your plants to reach at least 2 metres and outdoors they can reach 3 metres and beyond.  This is reflected in the yield.  Indoor growers can expect up to 600g per metre squared. Outdoor growers could easily collect the same per plant or even more if growing conditions are particularly good.  One point to note is that there are actually two common phenos of Purple Maroc. Only one of which does actually turn purple and even then it’s usually hints of purple rather than extensive, vivid colour.

Overall, we’d say that if you are a beginner and have a suitable outdoor growing space, then you should be fine with Purple Maroc. But if you’re growing indoors then you probably want to wait until you’ve gained a bit of experience with more compact strains before trying this one.

The taste of Purple Maroc may be a bit different to what you might have expected from the name.  It actually has a diesel base with top notes of mixed fruits and citrus, but no major hit of grapes.  The aroma mirrors the flavour.

A 70% Indica cross of Cherry Pie and Sour Sherbet, Cherry Sherbet is less sweet than you might expect from the name.  It is, however, very definitely packed with cherry flavour and provides decent yields for moderate effort.

Cherry Sherbet has about 20% average THC and moderate CBD.  As is typical of Indicas (and Indica dominants), the initial cerebral high is more about blissful, inspirational joy than about a burst of energy and other-worldly euphoria.  As it ebbs, you’ll then transition into what is essentially an old-school Indica, full-body stone. Although the 30% Sativa genetics do lighten it up a bit.  The sensation is warm, comfortable and utterly relaxing, soothing away spasms, joint pains and mental tension.  In our opinion, Cherry Sherbet is ideal for night-time use.  In fact, you might even want to use it as a treatment for insomnia.  We wouldn’t rule out using it in the during the day, but you’d have to be very careful to refocus completely before doing anything complex, such as driving.

herry sherbet strain

The predominance of Indica genetics means that Cherry Sherbet tends to stay fairly compact, with an average growing range of about 1.5M (indoor minimum) to 2M (outdoor maximum).  Indoors it will need about 8 to 9 weeks of flowering time and yield about 450g/m2. Outdoors it will be ready around the middle of October and yield about 450g per plant.

We’ve classed this strain as being moderately difficult to grow because the mid-October harvest means that most people will probably be growing it indoors. You’ll also need to be confident with your general marijuana basics such as food, water, general trimming and odour control, as Cherry Sherbet isn’t really very forgiving of beginner mistakes,. On the plus side, it certainly isn’t a high-maintenance strain either and it does have good resilience to mould, diseases and pests.

When you come to taste Cherry Sherbet, you may initially find yourself wondering how it came by its name as this strain’s top notes are of herbs and flowers without so much as a hint of fruit.  Give it a little bit of time, however, and you’ll pick up on the sour cherry tastes.  Interestingly, although the aroma of Cherry Sherbet is sour to the point of being quite acidic, the smoke itself is actually very smooth, it’s a bit like breathing in the scent of a rich, creamy, buttery cherry sauce.
