It’s difficult to know why the creators of the Cluster Bomb seeds chose to name it after one of the most viciously destructive armaments available to modern man. Presumably they were referring to the potent effects of this Indica dominant strain. It’s a cross between three strains; Bomb #1, Cindy 99 and Skunk #1.
Cluster Bomb weed has an appealingly skunky aroma and the taste has notes of berries, soft fruit and citrus. The high is potent with very strong body effects tempered by a pleasing cerebral stimulation. Medically, this strain can help with insomnia and poor appetite.
Cluster Bomb seeds produce plants that grow to a height of between 90 and 140 centimetres. The plants are quite bushy and tight in structure and the broad leaves are mid-green. The buds grow in bunches and are large and dense with the plants having a high bud to leaf ratio. THC content is in the 15 to 20 percent range.
The Cluster Bomb strain grows well indoors with hydro or soil mediums and these versatile plants can be cultivated with either the SOG or SCROG method. Flowering time is seven to nine weeks and the abundant yields are between 700 and 800 grams per square metre.
You can grow this strain outdoors in northern Europe where harvest time will come in late September or early October. Be sure to plant out seedlings when all frosts have passed and choose a spot that offers shelter from the wind.
Despite its somewhat off-putting name, this is a solid strain that produces very healthy yields of powerful weed. The strain’s qualities mean Cluster Bomb seeds are a good choice for both commercial and domestic growers.
