G13 Widow
Review
G13 Widow is an Indica dominant hybrid created by crossing the G13 strain, itself Indica dominant, and the Sativa dominant strain, White Widow, a highly respected strain in cannabis connoisseur circles, having won the High Times Cannabis Cup overall and bio sections in 1995. G13 has a variety of interesting legends whirling around it, including one that claims it was developed in secret by the US government.
This weed has a strong skunky smell with pine forest notes while the flavor is quite sweet with undertones of exotic spices. The high is quick acting, powerful and euphoric. This is a strain that may leave you glued to the sofa, so it’s not recommended as a daytime smoke. In medical use, it can help with insomnia and muscular pain.
G13 Widow seeds produce plants that grow medium to tall depending on the growing environment. The plants have mid-green leaves set on strong sidestems. The buds are dense, covered in orange to brown hairs and very sticky with resin. THC content varies from 18 to 22 percent.
It happily grows in soil or hydro and it often needs trimming to keep it in bounds. It’s suitable for the SOG growing method and the flowering time is between seven and 10 weeks. Yields are in the 350 to 450 grams per square metre range.
You can grow G13 Widow seeds outdoors in northern Europe in a summer that’s reasonably warm if you choose a sheltered spot that gets as much sun as possible. Harvest in the northern hemisphere comes in late September and each plant should yield around 400 grams.
With its high THC content, this powerful weed is not for the fainthearted. But if you enjoy a powerful Indica hit with some Sativa effects, you should try growing some G13 Widow.
