Grapefruit
Review
Created by horticulturists in the Netherlands, Grapefruit weed is Indica dominant and the product of crossbreeding two old favourites, Northern Lights #1 and Skunk.
The high comes on gradually, developing into a fairly intense body stone with some couchlock tendencies. The flavor and smell are skunky at first taste, but tones of citrus fruit and spices soon emerge. Medical dispensaries recommend Grapefruit cannabis for alleviating sleeplessness and stress.
This short plant (less than a metre tall) has pale green leaves and a profusion of dense, sticky buds with amber hairs. THC content is in the medium range at 15 percent.
Grapefruit is easy to grow indoors, with the SOG method producing good results with a hydro or soil set-up. Expect a flowering time of between eight and nine weeks and yields of up to 400 grams per square metre.
Unless you live somewhere with a Mediterranean or subtropical climate, Grapefruit seeds are best grown indoors. If you’re lucky enough to live somewhere warm and sunny, harvest time comes in late September to mid-October in the Northern Hemisphere, if you plant in mid-spring.
If you like fruit and getting stoned, you’re going to love Grapefruit weed with its citrus notes and narcotic high. It’s easy to grow indoors, so even beginners can consider this strain.
