Auto Widow

Created in the Netherlands, the Auto Widow strain is a potent cross of the award winning White Widow and a select ruderalis. The outcome is something special; a fast finishing autoflowering version of one of the world’s most admired strains, which has lost none of the potency of the classic original.

Auto Widow weed has a mild piney and citrusy scent that mixes agreeably with an incense-like odour, while the smoke is flowery and spicy with an enjoyable berry aftertaste. The buzz starts quickly with a head rush coming after only a couple of tokes, moving nicely into a strong body stone that lasts a couple of hours. This weed is calming and relaxing to smoke making it ideal medically for stress, anxiety, depression and insomnia.

The Auto Widow strain stays very short not growing much passed 30 centimetres. The plant’s structure is squat and compact with a high bud to leaf ratio, making it perfect to grow if nosey neighbours are an issue. The buds are typically White Widow; compact and absolutely covered in a thick layer of white THC crystals making this a very attractive plant. THC levels have been measured to be high.

Indoors, Auto Widow weed’s compact structure makes it ideal to grow in a SOG set up. You will get good results whether you grow it in hydroponics or soil, as long as you leave it on at least a 20/4 light regime. However, the breeder recommends you leave it under light 24 hours a day and you’ll get an impressive yield in as little as 60 days from seed.

Its resistance to mould make it an excellent choice to plant outdoors, even in cooler northern climates. This hardiness make it a safe bet for beginner growers, who will be able to grow an excellent yield with very little experience. Make sure you plant it somewhere it can receive a lot of sunlight, and its exceptionally rapid growth means you will be able to harvest as early as May.

Regardless of whether you’re a beginner grower or not, the Auto Widow strain is an excellent weed. Its White Widow genetics come through in the potency, meaning veteran smokers will still enjoy the smoking experience. You should grow this weed if you’re looking for a discreet plant, but don’t want to lose any of the potency that is usually associated with auto flowering strains.
