Cream Caramel CBD – Sweet Seeds

Cream Caramel CBD from Sweet Seeds is a cross between the original Cream Caramel and a selected CBD-rich clone of Diesel ancestry.  As its name suggests, it was created to appeal to a modern generation of medical users, who were more interested in CBD than THC and who wanted to take their medication without having to take a spoonful of sugar to make it go down. 

Although the name Cream Caramel CBD suggests that this strain is very much Indica dominant and hence all about the CBD, in actual fact, that’s only half true.  This strain is definitely Indica dominant (70%), but it offers 7% to 15% THC, which, while still very definitely on the low-to-moderate side, is possibly, rather more than you might have expected from the name.  The CBD content is in the region of 9% to 17% meaning that Cream Caramel CBD hits the medical sweetspot of a 1:1 to 1:2 ratio of THC to CBD, which is massively effective for a broad range of medical conditions (obviously not all of them).  Essentially you can think of Cream Caramel CBD as being a strain which is used for the sort of conditions which are recognized as responding to CBD, for example epilepsy and insomnia, but which has the added benefit of enough THC to provide fast-acting pain relief and a noticeable mood boost.  Notwithstanding this however, Cream Caramel CBD is very definitely a strain for night-time use. 

There are a couple of reasons why we’ve classed Cream Caramel CBD as being moderately difficult to grow.  One is that it is a photoperiod strain.  The indoor flowering time is about 8 weeks and the outdoor harvest is around the end of September.  The other is that Cream Caramel CBD can actually get a bit taller than you might expect given its genetics.  Indoors it will tend to stay around 1M to 1.2M in height but outdoors you should expect it to reach at least 1.5M and in really good conditions it can even reach 2.5M.  Indoors you can expect up to 550 g/m2 and outdoors up to 600g/plant.  This strain is fine outdoors as long as you can give it plenty of warmth and sunlight and although it can get larger than your average Indica, the growing pattern is classic Indica style with a main cola taking centre stage and lots of side branches for that Christmas-tree look.

While the name Cream Caramel CBD may suggest this strain is full-on sweetness, there’s actually an earthy baseline and citrus top notes to give solidity and balance.
