Auto Gorilla OG – Short Stuff
As you may have guessed from the name, Auto Gorilla OG is based on Gorilla Glue #4 and a cross between OG Kush and Lowryder #2. If you’re looking for a strain to provide a lot of THC in a very compact package, then Auto Gorilla OG could be the perfect choice for you.
By “a lot of THC” we mean about 23%, which is admittedly lower than you would expect from the original Gorilla Glue. But it is still a lot more than you’d expect from an autoflowering strain and is more than you’d expect from a lot of photoperiod strains. Interestingly, Auto Gorilla OG is actually Indica dominant. So although the high is soaring and intense, it’s also a bit mellower than you’d expect. This strain has moderate CBD, . Therefore, the high is followed by a deep body buzz, rather than heavy-duty couchlock. Overall we’d say that although the THC level pointed to daytime use, it wouldn’t be out of the question to use Auto Gorilla OG at night.
Auto Gorilla OG takes a bit longer to grow than many autoflowering strains. It needs 9 to 11 weeks from seed to bud. There is no specific outdoor harvest period. You can grow this strain whenever your weather permits. Just remember that although Auto Gorilla OG is very robust in general, it still needs protection from the rain and wind. Indoor and greenhouse growers will be pleased to know that Auto Gorilla OG is a nicely compact strain. You’re looking at a growing range of between 90 cm (indoor minimum) and 1.2 m (outdoor maximum). On the other hand, Auto Gorilla OG does like to branch out horizontally. Which is how it creates the bud sites necessary for its impressive yields. Standard estimates are in the region of 100g/m2 indoors and 100g per seed outdoors. Having said that, experienced growers can set their sites much higher. As in double that or even more. The taste and aroma of Auto Gorilla OG is rather more OG than Gorilla. There’s definite Kush spice in there, along with the robust sweetness of earth, fruits and a touch of pine for some menthol freshness.
