Gorilla Glue #4 – Expert Seeds

Gorilla Glue #4 is a modern classic.  Developed as a three-way cross between Chem’s Sister, Sour Dubb and Chocolate Diesel, it’s become a go-to strain for people who need serious pain relief or a real mental boost.

The taste of Gorilla Glue #4 is a whole lot more appetizing than its name suggests.  There is a sandalwood base, topped off with sweet cherries and hints of chocolate and completed by hints of pine for menthol freshness.  The aroma reflects this being rich and robust but still complex and interesting.

With a THC level in the region of 26% to 30% Gorilla Glue #4 is one potent strain and is best kept for serious medical issues or for recreational users who understand what this level of THC means in practice.  Gorilla Glue #4 has the sort of power you need to crush crippling pain and drag people out of the most negative emotional states.  Incredibly, however, this strain is actually Indica dominant (about 66%) so your high will, eventually, transition into the classic Indica stone.  Although this sort of THC level suggests daytime use, the fact is Gorilla Glue #4 is so strong the initial high can easily last for a few hours and with the stone on top,  perhaps this strain is best used when you have plenty of time to spare.

The high level of Indica genetics helps to keep the height of Gorilla Glue #4 on the manageable side.  You can expect an indoor minimum of about 1.4M and an outdoor maximum of 1.8M.  Indoors, flowering time is a fairly quick 9 weeks and outdoors Gorilla Glue #4 is ready around mid October.  Yields are excellent, with indoor growers collecting up to 550g/m2 and outdoor growers up to 600g per plant.

Gorilla Glue #4 is not that hard to grow and could potentially be grown by beginners, however there are a couple of key points to remember.  First of all. Gorilla Glue #4 really likes to stretch during flowering so it’s highly recommended to keep the vegging period short or do some plant training.  Secondly, producing this much THC takes a lot of resin crystals and anyone who grows this strain will soon get hands on experience of the fact that its name comes from its ability to cover anything that touches it with glue-like resin.  On the plus side, however, Gorilla Glue #4 is very robust and fairly tolerant of beginners’ mistakes.
