Godzilla Glue
Balanced hybrid Godzilla Glue is a punningly-named cross between King Kong (brutal cut) and the famous Gorilla Glue 4. It really can deliver monster-sized yields of excellent cannabis.
The THC content of Godzilla Glue depends very much on how long you give it to mature. It can be anywhere from 17% to 25%. At the lower end, it will give you a positive mental boost. At the upper end it will deliver a powerful high. Because of this, you need to think carefully about what you want so you can time your harvest appropriately. CBD is fairly low, so although you’ll be relaxed and dreamy, possibly even quite drowsy, you’re unlikely to be left couchlocked for hours on end. This means that, in principle, you can use Godzilla Glue day or evening but if you’re aiming to produce maximum THC, then you might want to keep the strain for daytime use only.
One of the interesting points about Godzilla Glue is that its size can vary significantly depending on growing conditions and, in particular, whether it is grown indoors or outdoors. Indoors, its height can range between 0.7M and 1.4M and it can produce up to 1.5Kg/m2 although for this sort of yield, you’ll need to let your plants grow to their maximum height and use training techniques. Outdoors, Godzilla Glue can grow to anything between 1.8M and 2.8M and produce up to 1.5Kg per plant.
The indoor flowering period is 8 to 9 weeks and the outdoor harvest is in the middle of September. Godzilla Glue isn’t exactly a fussy strain, in fact, from a purely objective perspective, it’s actually very robust with good resilience to mould, diseases and pests. It’s just big and that brings some challenges.
If you want to grow indoors, you will either need plenty of space (both horizontally and vertically as the branches will need to spread) or you’ll need to get to grips with plant training. If you’re growing outdoors, you’ll need to keep the buds dry as well as warm and lit, otherwise you could end up with a heartbreaking 1.5Kg of mouldy mush. In either case, you’re going to need to satisfy a hearty appetite for water and nutrients without panicking and overdoing it.
In terms of flavour and aroma, Godzilla Glue is less complex than its more famous relative. It’s essentially a diesel strain with notes of sweetness and pine for a bit of contrast.
