Lemon Skunk
Lemon Skunk is a Sativa dominant hybrid of two skunk strains that was created in the Netherlands with one plant from Amsterdam and the other from Las Vegas. Naming it one of the top 10 strains of 2009, respected High Times writer Danny Danko called it “an easy-to-grow masterpiece of genetic achievement”.
Light up and your initial impression will be of an earthy, typically skunk aroma. The first taste also has those characteristics, but on exhale you’ll get the lemon notes, citrus rather than sweet. This potent weed delivers a powerful hit, but the effects are mentally stimulating and euphoric rather than physically overwhelming. Medically, this weed is good for relieving mild pain and insomnia.
The plants grow quite tall with an open structure and a high bud to leaf ratio. Leaves are light to medium green and the buds are pale green with lots of orange hairs. THC content is around 20 percent.
Indoors, this plant needs space to grow upwards and it produces good yields, up to 600 grams per square metre. Flowering time is eight to nine weeks.
The Lemon Skunk strain is a good choice for outdoor growing, even in more northerly countries. Provided it gets enough sunshine, it will be ready for harvest in early October and will yield up to 800 grams per plant.
With its lemon tones and old-school heritage, this Lemon Skunk review concludes that this can truly be described as a connoisseur’s weed. Lemon Skunk is easy to grow, produces good yields and delivers a powerful high.
