Girl Scout Cookies Auto
The original Girl Scout Cookies is a firm favourite amongst the marijuana community thanks to its medical benefits and delicious taste. Making it autoflowering makes it even easier for people to grow their prescription at home and enjoy the benefits of this amazing strain.
Even though the name says “Cookies”, the taste of this strain is actually a whole lot more like candy floss. It’s light and sweet but has notes of mint, spice and chocolate to give it some balance. The aroma actually has more body than you might expect from that description. It is sweet but it’s also very earthy and some people might find it reminds them of OG Kush.
With over 20% THC and minimal CBD, Girl Scout Cookies is very definitely a “head” strain, in fact it’s a popular choice for tension headaches, anxiety, stress, and depression. It leaves users clear enough to focus for standard, everyday, tasks, although, as always, apply a bit of common sense, here, for example avoid driving when under the influence of marijuana. Although Girl Scout Cookies does deliver a clear, fresh, euphoric high, it tends to be a fairly relaxed one, which means that this strain is a decent choice if you mainly want powerful and fast-acting pain relief which will also act as a cure for the occasional bout of insomnia (particularly if it is pain-related), but if you are actually looking for an insomnia strain then you’d probably be better with a variety which has more CBD.
As an autoflowering strain, Girl Scout Cookies is one of the most forgiving and therefore beginner-friendly strains out there. You can be sure that all of your seeds will be female and that the flowering period will be triggered automatically regardless of light cycle and/or colour. As an added bonus, Girl Scout Cookies generally maxes out at a metre or so when left to its own devices and if you’re prepared to get “hands on” with plant training, you can keep it even lower. This means that Girl Scout Cookies is potentially a feasible choice for outdoor growing on a balcony, but remember that it has a grow time of 8 to 9 weeks, which is on the longer side for autoflowering strains. You also need to bear in mind that even autoflowering strains do need a certain level of care and maintenance with regard to watering, food and ventilation. Get this right and you can expect to be rewarded with a harvest of 500-650 gr/m2 of delicious weed.

Hi Glenn,
As the plants are autoflowering they do not need the standard photo period times. They will flower automatically and can be given as much light as is available. Most growers of auto flowers would look to have them on around an 18/6 schedule.
Hi. I’m a bit of a gardener although it’s my second attempt at growing weed.
I have 4 GSC plants, 2 into their 4th flowering week and another two that are
a bit bigger that are still in veg phase.
I am using the 12hrs light/ 12 hrs dark front 6am – 6pm.
Living in the Southern Hemisphere (Australia) is Summer now and I’m
really keen for a harvest maybe late January or February.
Do my flowering plants need this trick 12hr light change right through
until they are finished or can I leave them in my backyard now until harvest?
Thank You. regards, Glenn.
bend the tops over and tie / weigh them down
i cant raise my lights any higher and my plants are growing into the lights can i cut the tops off without harming the plant????
