Cannatonic

A cross between MK Ultra and G13 Haze, Cannatonic is technically a balanced hybrid.  In practice, however, it’s a superb Indica, which has been specifically bred to by high in CBD and low in THC.  This is one of the most highly-respected medical strains around and, what’s more, its flavour it also very respectable.

Even though this strain has been developed to deliver on a very modest high, the top notes of citrus and pine will help to boost low spirits, while the earthy base notes keep this strain nicely grounded.  The aroma is what you would expect from the tasting notes and can be enjoyed in its own right.

Medical users have heaped praise on this strain, since it delivers both pain relief and relaxation and, although it is best kept for after the work day is over, it can be used, carefully, for daytime pain relief if need be.  In spite of the minimal level of THC, Cannatonic does have an uplifting effect (not a high, but definitely enough to raise a person’s mood).  This strain’s real strong point, however, is the wonderfully relaxing CBD stone, which deals with all kinds of pain and muscle spasms and helps to alleviate stress and other similar disorders.  While those with serious insomnia will probably want to look for a strain with a more powerful, knockout, effect, those who just need to be able to wind down a little so that they can get some beauty sleep may well find Cannatonic a good choice.

Overall Cannatonic is a fairly straightforward strain to grow, but it does benefit greatly from either a well-controlled environment (indoors) or careful observation (outdoors).  The reason for this is that although Cannatonic is pretty resistant to diseases and pests, it has a reputation for being susceptible to mould and mildew.  Both of these are generally signs of issues with ventilation, which may be a result of plants being overcrowded, meaning that there is insufficient air flow.  If you can get past this, Cannatonic can yield up to 500g/sm indoors or up to 400g/pp outdoors although beginners would be more likely to achieve a yield of 250g/pp outdoors.
