Green Love Potion

We’re not quite sure why this strain is called Green Love Potion, given that its parents are Lavender and Black Domina, but we are definitely very impressed with its flavour and quality. 

Green Love Potion is 80% Indica and its THC level tends to be in the region of 20% to 22%, with around 0.5% CBD.  Be aware that this is a strain which can take its time to get moving, so remember the old advice to “start low and go slow”.  In other words, make sure you give Green Love Potion at least 15 minutes to work its magic.  Also be aware that the fact that this strain is very much an Indica means that the high is less about overwhelming euphoria and more about chilled out happiness and inspiration.  The subsequent body stone isn’t the heaviest there is but it’s still pretty deep. Ideally you’ll want to keep this strain for night-time usee. You might even use it to treat insomnia.

Indoors, Green Love Potion needs about 8 to 9 weeks of flowering time and outdoors it will be ready around the end of September or start of October.  The height range is around 1.2M indoors minimum to 1.6M outdoors. Yields are in the region of 400g/m2 indoors and up to 450g per plant outdoors.  Overall, the Green Love Potion strain has good resilience to mould, diseases and pests, but isn’t especially forgiving of beginner’s mistakes, which is why it’s been classed as moderately difficult to grow. 

In terms of flavour and aroma, the Green Love Potion strain may take you by surprise.  When you first take these nugs in your hand, the scent will probably appear to be almost completely pine,. However once you start to grind them, you’ll find earthiness. Then when you actually start to smoke, you’ll begin to pick up on herbs (especially sage and eucalyptus) and flowers (particularly, of course, lavender), before finally reaching the base of solid, but sweet, earthiness.  Green Love Potion does have quite a harsh smoke, so if you have a delicate throat, vaping may be a better option.
