Banana Bomb
Banana Bomb is an 80% Indica cross between THC Bomb and Banana Kush. It tastes great and is very easy to grow (for a photoperiod strain).
Even though it’s mostly Indica, Banana Bomb has average THC of 20% to 22%. This is enough to deliver some serious pain relief. It’s also enough to deal with many emotional and/or mental conditions. The high is a bit more mellow than you’d expect from a Sativa with the same THC content. It’s happy and motivational rather than a full-on mental sugar-rush. Average CBD content is around 0.5% to 1%. This may leave you mildly couchlocked. It probably won’t last long, but you’ll still want some drinks and snacks handy.
The THC:CBD ratio makes Banana Bomb a nicely flexible strain which can be used day or night. Obviously, you’ll need to make sure that you’re fully refocused before doing anything complicated, especially driving.
Banana Bomb is suited to both indoor- and outdoor-growing and will also be perfectly happy in a greenhouse. Indoors, plants generally reach around 1.4M. The flowering time is 7 to 9 weeks and the yield is up to 600g/m2.
Outdoors, plants can get a lot taller. For, a lot taller, read double the size. In other words, outdoor plants can easily reach 3M. In fact, if growing conditions are really good, they can even get a bit taller. The outdoor harvest is around about the end of September or start of October. One major advantage of bigger plants is that they have physical space for bigger yields. What this means in practical terms is that outdoor growers could collect as much as 500g per plant.
Banana Bomb has good resilience to mould, diseases and pests. It’s also fairly tolerant of a bit of poor handling. It is not, however, at all tolerant of poor air flow or poor weather.
To ensure good air flow, make sure you leave enough space for your plants to grow outwards as well as upwards. This strain is basically Indica and it will spread, a lot.
You can’t ensure good weather, but you can choose a sheltered growing space. In fact, if you are growing towards the northern end of Europe you may want to grow under glass. Basically do whatever it takes to protect your plants from wind and rain.
In terms of taste and aroma, Banana Bomb is essentially a gloriously rich and creamy spiced banana custard. The spices are warm, Kush spices, hash rather than Haze.
