Hash Plant

As you might expect, Hash Plant owes its origins to the plants grown for hashish in the Hindu Kush region which encompasses parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan. These Indica plants were imported to the West where they were combined with Northern Lights to make a 90 percent Indica and 10 percent Sativa hybrid. This hybrid was first produced in America before crossing the Atlantic to the Netherlands.

When smoked, this weed has a distinctly resinous, hash-like flavor with spicy undertones while the aroma is musty and earthy. It produces an intense stone that is relaxing rather than overwhelming, reminiscent of a good hash high. THC content is around 15 percent and medically this strain is recommended for stress and sleeping problems.

The plant grows between 90 and 120 centimetres and has a high bud to leaf ratio, with the buds growing long and the leaves remaining relatively small and short. The buds are covered in a thick layer of exceptionally sticky resin and it goes without saying that you can use this to make a decent hash.

Grown indoors with the SCROG method and either hydroponics or soil, Hash Plant seeds produce specimens with a notably short flowering time of between six and seven weeks. Skillful growers can expect indoor yields of around 400 grams per square metre.

The Hash Plant strain will do well outdoors in regions with plenty of warm sunshine, at least six hours each day. Harvest is around mid-September. This is a relatively easy plant to grow indoors or outdoors.

If you like the taste of hash, Hash Plant is well worth a try. This is a decent strain that’s desirable qualities include ease of growth and dependably good yields.
