Early Girl

Early Girl, which has been around since the 1980s, is an Indica dominant strain created by crossbreeding two Indicas, one from Afghanistan and the other from northern India, and a Sativa from the high mountains of Mexico.
It gets its name because, aside from the autoflowering strains, it’s one of the quickest growing weeds, especially outdoors.

Early Girl weed has a skunky aroma while the flavor has a distinctly hash-like quality. The high is relaxed and leisurely. This isn’t one of those strains that blows you away; it offers a gentler, sometimes giggly stone. Medically, this weed is recommended for stress, mild pain and poor appetite.

Early Girl seeds produce plants that grow to a height of one to two metres, although you’ll want to keep them at the shorter end of the scale if you’re growing indoors. The leaves are mid-green and the compact buds grow close to the main stem which often forms a single, towering cola. THC levels are in the five to 10 percent range.

Indoors, Early Girl seeds have the right growing tendencies for the SOG method, whether you’re using soil or hydro growing mediums. The strain has good mould and pest resistance, flowering time is from six to seven weeks and yields are around 400 to 500 grams per square metre.

Early Girl does well outdoors in the cooler northern climes of countries like the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands. Just make sure it gets plenty of water, a healthy level of nutrients and as much sun as possible. Since it’s usually ready for harvest by the first half of September, there’s no need to worry about early frosts.

Early Girl is easy to grow, even in less favorable circumstances like a pot on a balcony. In comparison to many of the modern skunk strains, it offers a relatively mild though pleasurable high, so it’s ideal for novice
