Tundra

Tundra is a cross between the Indica-dominant strain Passion #1 and a Ruderalis strain. The Ruderalis genetics mean that Tundra is an autoflowering type. Passion #1 is a quick-growing strain created in California in the 1970s, making its way to Europe around 1980.

Tundra has a sweet, spicy bouquet with earthy notes and once you light it up you’ll easily recognise citrus in the taste which is reminiscent of lemon and grapefruit. This weed has an upbeat high with quite strong body effects – it’s a great strain to share with friends when you’re planning a relaxing evening. It’s not one of the strains commonly recommended for medical use, but it will help you if you’re stressed out and need to relax.

This plant grows to no more than 50 centimetres tall and tends to have only a few branches with relatively small, pale green leaves. The buds are dense and covered in a layer of white crystals. THC content is around 18 percent – high enough to make it a really worthwhile smoke.

The main points to highlight in this Tundra review is that it’s a versatile plant with good pest and disease resistance, and it grows well indoors and outdoors. Its autoflowering qualities make it easy to grow indoors since there’s no need to vary lighting times to make it flower. The vegetative period is short at two weeks and after that the plant will flower for between six and nine weeks before its ready for harvest. Expect yields of about 30 grams per plant.

If you’ve got limited indoor growing space or you want to grow a couple of plants in a balcony container, Tundra seeds make a lot of sense. Tundra is easy to grow, and while yields are not the highest, this weed packs quite a kick.
