Sweet Island Skunk Review
Review
Sweet Island Skunk is another strain from Canada’s British Colombia where there is a thriving medical cannabis scene. Specifically, this weed was developed on Vancouver Island and its genetic heritage is Skunk #1 and an unknown Sativa.
You’ll smell newly turned earth and fresh green herbs when you inhale the Sweet Island Skunk strain and you’ll taste a hint of citrus and an undertone of sweet spices. The Sativa part of this weed’s heritage means that you get an active high that won’t leave you heading for the couch, making this a good daytime smoke. Medically, this weed can provide alleviation of muscular pain and poor appetite.
The plants grow straight and quite tall indoors, while outdoors they can shoot up to three metres or more. The pale green leaves have long fingers and the buds are quite fluffy, covered in golden hairs and elongated. THC content has been measured as high as 21 percent.
Indoors, the Sweet Island Skunk strain grows well with the SOG method in both hydro and soil set ups. Flowering time is seven to eight weeks and you can expect to harvest around 500 to 750 grams per square metre.
Outdoors, harvest time is late September and yields as high as 1.5 kilograms per plant in ideal growing conditions have been recorded a more usual figure would be 750 grams.
If you enjoy a buzzing, energetic high, this Sweet Island Skunk review can recommend this strain, which can also be renowned for its high yields.
