Raspberry Cough

The Raspberry Cough strain was created by crossing an indigenous and very strong Cambodian strain with Ice, which is a hybrid of an Afghani Indica and the Northern Light strain. It’s a Sativa dominant strain, with its characteristics modified by the inclusion of a smaller proportion of Indica genes.

The Raspberry Cough strain has an aroma that combines a skunky base with high notes of sweet fruit. The flavour is quite subtle with hints of mint, blossom and Eastern spices. The high is mentally stimulating with a pleasantly relaxed but not overwhelming body hit. This weed is good for daytime smoking and it can help with creative activities. Medically, it’s recommended for mild muscular pain and poor appetite.

Any Raspberry Cough review will point out that this strain grows tall if left to its own devices, up to three metres in some cases. Of course, with indoor cultivation, growers can curb this lankiness. The plants are leggy with an open structure. Leaves are long and pale green while buds are light green and covered in red hairs. Both buds and leaves can take on a blue to purple tinge as the plants grow, especially in cooler temperatures. THC content ranges from 15 to 24 percent, depending on growing conditions.

Raspberry Cough’s tropical genes mean that you’ll need to live somewhere at least as warm as the Mediterranean to grow this plant successfully outdoors. Outdoor harvest comes in late October. Indoors, this strain thrives with a SOG set up in either hydro or soil, and flowering time is 9 to 11 weeks. Yields are a healthy 400 to 500 grams per square metre.

Fans of cannabis with predominantly Sativa genes should definitely consider the Raspberry Cough strain. It’s quite easy to grow indoors, the harvests are heavy, and the hit is pleasantly stimulating without being couchlocking, despite the high THC levels.

What to look for when the flowering is complete. Can I let it bud for to long? I am wondering ..

If growing the raspberry cough outdoors in Texas, when is the best time to plant and harvest? What is the ideal outdoor temperature for planting?
