Raspberry kush plant

Raspberry Kush is an Indica dominant hybrid that gets its name from the fruity, berry flavour that it exhibits and the Indica genetics which come from the Hindu Kush. The Hindu Kush mountain range straddles central Afghanistan and northern Pakistan. Strains from the region form the basis for many modern hybrid cannabis strains.

The Raspberry Kush strain combines a typically Kush skunky aroma with sweet notes of summer fruits and eastern spices. The high starts off in the head and then spreads to the body so that you’ll feel a strong mental buzz combined with a relaxed physical stone. This is a great smoke for chilling out after a hard day. Medicinally, this works well for people who have trouble sleeping – smoke some as a nightcap and you should get a peaceful night’s sleep.

The plant grows to a medium height with broad leaves, mid-green in colour. The dense, dark green buds take on a purplish hue as they mature and display a frosty coating of crystals. THC level is 15 percent or higher.

Indoors, this plant grows well in either soil or hydro mediums. Flowering time is nine to 10 weeks and you can expect yields in the 400 to 500 grams per square metre range.

This strain’s Hindu Kush genetics mean it’s a hardy plant that can be successfully grown outdoors, even in cooler northern regions. Be sure to plant your Raspberry Kush seeds indoors and to harden off the seedlings before transplanting to their final growing area which should be a sheltered spot that gets plenty of sunshine.

Raspberry Kush is a great choice if you like a smoke with subtle fruit flavours. It packs quite a punch – just the ticket for relaxing in front of a movie in the evening.
