The Sativa-dominant hybrid Kush Doctor is a proud descendant of the legendary OG Kush, which is a rare Sativa dominant hybrid in the (currently) largely Indica-dominant Kush family. Initially OG Kush was crossed with another Sativa-dominant hybrid, Ultra Lemon Haze. When this proto-strain was stabilized, it was crossed again with the Indica-dominant hybrid Berry Ryder.

The result is a taste sensation. Citrus and berry flavours dance in the mouth, while base notes of spice and diesel provide an earthy contrast to the sweetness and the unmistakable touch of Kush is always present.

As you would expect, the high is cerebral and refreshing, but the Indica element gives a certain level of grounding. This means that this strain works as well for those in need of clarity and energy so that they can get on with their work (or gaming session) as it does for those who need to clear their heads of the day’s frustrations and worries so that they can rebalance and get a proper sleep.

Since it is a Sativa-dominant, Kush Doctor’s natural tendency is to grow tall and proud, but growers working in a smaller space will be pleased to hear that it will happily tolerate being trained into a more compact form. In fact Kush Doctor will uncomplainingly put up with conditions which would shrivel more delicate strains and will still produce decent yields. This makes it a great choice for outdoor growers in colder climates. Outdoors the harvest is around the end of September/start of October (in the Northern Hemisphere).

It’s also a great strain for novice growers or those with challenging personal schedules, since it can cope with being left to its own devices better than many other strains. In particular it can cope with lack of watering, although obviously there will be an impact in terms of yield.

By contrast, indoor growers who can provide optimal conditions will be rewarded with numerous, lengthy buds, which grow densely in compact clusters to produce a yield of up to 300gm2 in about 11 to 12 weeks.
