OG Kush Auto – Dr Krippling
The original OG Kush is a legendary Indica-dominant strain, which has stood the test of time with flying colours. One of the many reasons for its popularity is because it is so easy to grow. Dr Krippling has produced an autoflowering version, which is essentially the original OG Kush crossed with Ruderalis.
With 17% THC, OG Kush Auto is comparable with many photoperiod Indicas. This shows how far autoflowering strains have come over recent years. It also has about 0.3% CBD, which is enough to give you some blissful relaxation without leaving you too stoned to function. Overall, we’d say that OG Kush Auto was best suited to night-time use. It could still be used in the day, as long as you left yourself plenty of recovery time.
Like the original, OG Kush auto can be grown indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse. Whichever method you choose, it will grow to about 90cm and take about 10 weeks to go from seed to harvest. As this is an autoflowering strain, there is no harvest period as such. But if you’re growing outdoors then you will obviously have to take the weather into consideration. If you’re growing in a greenhouse you will have to do so during a time when you will have sufficient natural light, or be prepared to supplement daylight with grow lights. Growing indoors you can expect 200 to 450 gr/m2. Outdoors you’re looking at 30g to 50g per seed. In a greenhouse you could collect as much as 50g to 100g per seed. Although for the upper end of this range, you’d have to expect to use some of the more advanced techniques available to people growing indoors. OG Kush auto is both short and quick and as an added bonus, it’s also very robust.
While OG Kush Auto is short in stature, it’s still big on taste and is packed full of that lovely hashiness, which has done so much to win the kush family its fan base. This is rounded out by robust earthiness on the base and fresh herbs and pine on the top. The aroma is also nicely spicy with hints of menthol and citrus.
Overall OG Kush Auto is a worthy successor to the original OG Kush and is sure to develop a popular fan base.
