Blue God

The Blue God strain is an Indica weed from British Colombia created by crossing two well-known strains, Blueberry and God Bud. Both strains are previous winners at the High Times Cannabis Cup with God Bud topping the Indica section back in 2004 and Blueberry winning three prizes, including first overall in 2000.

The Blue God strain has a pungent, skunky smell with a hint of black hash and the flavor includes notes of soft fruit, and a hint of blueberry. The stone is heavily sedative so this weed is best for a relaxing evening at home or even a before-bed toke. In medical use, Blue God is recommended for muscular pain and insomnia.

Blue God seeds produce plants of a medium height, 100 to 120 centimetres, with broad, dark green leaves. The buds are on the large side and quite dense. As the plants mature, both the leaves and the buds take on a blue or purple hue. THC level is around 15 percent.

Indoors, Blue God weed grows and tastes best in soil, preferably organic. Flowering time is eight to nine weeks and yields are around 400 to 500 grams per square metre.

To grow this weed successfully outdoors, you’ll need to cultivate it somewhere with a Mediterranean climate or warmer. Harvest time comes in early to mid-October.

Given the distinguished weed types that were used to create the Blue God strain, it’s no surprise that this is a quality weed with decent yields and high potency. It’s not too hard to grow so it’s suitable for beginners as well as seasoned gardeners.
