Dream Queen

The Dream Queen strain comes from the prolific growers of Southern California who crossed two Sativa dominant strains, Blue Dream and Space Queen. The result is in itself sativa dominant and has the kind of flavour that will have you smacking you lips together after each hit or toke.

Its fragrance is best described as floral with undertones of tropical fruit and skunk. The flavor includes notes of berries, spice and citrus. The buzz is typically Sativa; a rushing, cerebral high that relaxes after a while into a more relaxed stone which can last for more than two hours before a gentle come down. It’s a good daytime smoke since it doesn’t leave you lying on the couch. In fact, you may well find that it increases your creativity and productivity. Medically, this weed can help to alleviate muscular pain and lack of appetite.

Dream Queen seeds produce tall, branching plants, which can grow up to three metres if left to their own devices outdoors. The plants have large, light green leaves with elongated fingers and they often display a blue tint as they mature. Buds are long and thin, medium green and covered in orange hairs. THC content is around 17 percent.

In cooler countries, you need to grow the Dream Queen strain indoors, but it will do well outdoors where the climate is Mediterranean. The plants often need staking to avoid the weight of the foliage and buds from breaking the stems. Indoors, these plants do well in soil or hydro. Watch out for red spider mite which the plants can be susceptible to. Flowering time is eight to 10 weeks and outdoor harvest comes in late September. Yields indoors can be up to 500 grams per square metre and outdoor plants can produce up to 1000 grams each.

Growers who enjoy the stone from Sativa dominant strains will find plenty to like in Dream Queen. Choose this strain if you have at least intermediate gardening skills and it will repay you with good crops and an exhilarating stone.
