Sour Alien
Review
The Sour Alien strain was created in California by crossing Original Sour Diesel with Alien Kush, both of which hail from America’s west coast. Those Sour Alien parents make mean it is a predominantly Indica strain.
Sour Alien has a powerfully pungent skunky smell and the flavor has notes of sour lemon which can verge on the acrid. Opinions are divided on the flavor; many love it while a few are put off by it. The high is relaxing and sedating, making it a good smoke for chilling out in the evening. Medically, this weed is used to alleviate muscular pain and insomnia.
Sour Alien seeds produce bushy plants of a short to medium height with dark green leaves. The buds are roundish and dense with a coating of brown to red hairs and sticky resin. THC levels vary from 15 to 18 percent.
Indoors, this is a plant that favors the SOG growing method whether you cultivate it in soil or hydro. Flowering time is nine to 11 weeks and you can expect of harvests of between 400 to 450 grams per square metre.
For outdoor growing, this strain needs a climate at least as warm and sunny as the Mediterranean. Harvest in the northern hemisphere comes in mid-October.
If you enjoy the distinctive sour lemon taste that’s characteristic of strains with Diesel genetics, then this could be the weed for you. Sour Alien is quite easy to grow, so it’s suitable for inexperienced gardeners, although its pervasive smell can be a problem for those with over-inquisitive neighbours.
