Giant Skittlez
Giant Skittlez is a cross between Zkittlez and Critical Mass. The basic idea was to create a strain with the taste of Zkittlez and the yields of Critical Mass.
Even though Giant Skittlez is an Indica dominant, it has average THC of 22% to 25%. This is enough for heavy-duty pain relief. It’s also enough to deal with very negative emotional states. Basically, it’s a bit more chilled and a bit less bursting with energy. As the head high fades, you’ll start to feel a light body buzz. There’s only about 0.02% CBD in Giant Skittlez. This means you’ll feel snug and cosy rather than couchlocked. It is, however, still a good idea to be prepared for the inevitable marijuana munchies. Have some snacks and water ready to save yourself the effort of needing to get up.
Overall, Giant Skittlez is probably best suited to use in the day time. You could even use it as a “wake-and-bake” strain, although it wouldn’t be our first choice. We’d see this strain more as being one for using as needed during the day. For example, you could reach for Giant Skittlez if you started to feel a migraine coming on. You could probably get away with using this strain in the evening to clear your head before going to bed. If, however, you’re specifically looking to treat regular insomnia, we’d say there are better options out there.
The taste of Giant Skittlez is pretty much identical to the taste of regular Zkittlez. So basically, it’s fruity sweetness all the way. Specifically, there’s berries, grapes and tropical fruits, balanced with tangy citrus, especially grapefruit. The only connection with Critical Mass is that Critical Mass also has citrus notes.
Having just said that, regular Zkittlez is a balanced hybrid. Giant Skittlez, however, is an Indica dominant, like Critical Mass. In fact, Giant Skittlez looks (and grows) very much like Critical Mass. It’s a smidgeon taller. Critical Mass has an average height of about 1.65M whereas Giant Skittlez has an average height of about 1.9M. That is getting on the taller side for an Indica dominant. It is, however, still within the bounds of “medium-sized” when looking at cannabis plants in general. Like most Indica dominants, Giant Skittlez is fairly bushy. It is therefore absolutely vital that you allow space for plants to spread outwards as well as upwards.
Give your plants some basic care and you can be rewarded with excellent yields. Indoor growers can collect up to 650g/m2. Outdoor growers can look at 650g per plant, or maybe even more!
