Critical Mass
Review
Critical Mass gets its name from the fact that its buds grow so heavy that they’ll break the plant’s stems without support. A rejuvenation of the Big Bud strain, Critical Mass seeds contain Indica dominant genetics from Skunk #1 and an Afghani Indica.
Critical Mass weed’s stone is heavily physical meaning you can expect a couple of hours of couchlock. Neither the flavor nor the smell is particularly strong, but you can detect skunk, citrus and pine notes. Medical dispensaries recommend it for patients who have trouble sleeping or suffer from chronic muscular pain.
Critical Mass cannabis grows stocky and bushy with broad, dark green leaves. As mentioned before, the buds are very heavy with straggling orange hairs that contrast nicely with the pale green base colour. The THC levels range between 15 to 20 percent, depending on growing conditions.
Indoors, Critical Mass weed grows well in soil or hydro set-ups and have a flowering period of around eight weeks. Because the buds grow large, they can be prone to mold so it’s crucial to maintain low humidity levels. Yields are exceptionally high at up to 750 grams per square metre.
Outdoors, Critical Mass will do best in a Mediterranean type climate with harvest time coming in mid-September and yields of about 500 to 600 grams per plant. In outdoor conditions, the plants will definitely need support as they mature.
Critical Mass seeds are an ideal choice for the first-time cultivator as it is notably easy to grow. Since it also packs a real punch and delivers excellent yields, it’s also a good choice for experienced growers.
