Brainstorm
Review
Brainstorm weed gets its name from the high you feel when you smoke it, but don’t worry, the brainstorm is entirely pleasant! This Indica/Sativa hybrid weed was created by crossing Northern Lights #5 with Haze. Northern Lights #5 won a number of prizes in the early 1990s in the High Times Cannabis Cup while Haze has formed the basis for many of the most popular of the modern cannabis hybrids.
By the standards of skunk type weeds, the Brainstorm strain has a relatively mild aroma with notes of sweet herbs and the flavor is also quite subtle. All in all, this is an exceptionally smooth smoke. The high is powerful and longlasting, combining the cerebral effects of Sativa with the more sedative impact of Indica. Medically, this weed is recommended for stress and poor appetite.
Indoors, you can expect Brainstorm to grow to a medium height of around 120 centimetres. But left to its own device outdoors, it can shoot up to as high as 2.5 metres. The plants have a high bud to leaf ratio and the buds take on a pinkish hue as they mature as well as a coating of sticky crystals. THC levels range from 12 to 15 percent.
Brainstorm seeds produce versatile plants that respond well to all the main indoor growing methods. Take care not to overdo the nutrients, make sure the plants have good ventilation and your crop will thrive. Flowering time is seven to eight weeks and yields are around 500 grams per square metre.
This strain can also be grown outdoors in northern Europe as long as you find a sunny, sheltered growing plot. Harvest will come at the end of September or beginning of October.
This vigorous grower is recommended for both beginners and experienced gardeners who are looking for a plant that produces dependably abundant harvests. Brainstorm weed plants are also excellent for taking cuttings from, which means you really get your money’s worth.
