Papaya
Review
Papaya seeds are an Indica dominant mix of two strains, Citral and Ice. Ice’s parents are Afghani and Northern Light strains, while Citral includes genetic material from the Hindu Kush. Papaya is the seed breeders Nirvana’s version of KC Brains infamous Mango strain.
Papaya weed has an earthy skunky smell when it burns and the flavour includes notes of tropical fruit and exotic spices. The high combines strong physical effects, which can lead to couchlock, with a mental buzz that will release your creative forces. Medical users turn to this weed for muscular pain relief and to alleviate poor appetite.
Papaya seeds produce bushy plants that grow about one metre tall with an even balance between leaf and bud growth. Leaves are mid-green and the buds are a lighter green, quite fluffy and covered in orange hairs. THC content can be up to 20 percent.
The Papaya strain has good mold and mildew resistance, and is best suited to indoor growing. Hydro growing can produce higher yields while soil cultivation improves flavour. Flowering time is eight to nine weeks and yield can be up to 450 grams per square metre when using the SOG growing method. Papaya can be grown outdoors in places with summers at least as warm as the Mediterranean, but outdoor yields are lower. Outdoor harvest comes in late September.
Papaya seeds are easier to cultivate if you grow it indoors. Indoor yields are high, and it comes with a potent hit thanks to its high THC level.
