Sucker Punch
Review
Indica-based, autoflowering, Sucker Punch is the progeny of an old-school (pre 98 cut) Bubba Kush crossed with the ever-popular Candy Kush. Growers will recognize the classic Kush smell as soon as they enter their growing space.
The taste is also typical of the Kush family. At first users might mistake Sucker Punch for a mild Sour Diesel. Its earthy taste definitely has an edge of fuel to it. After a few draws, however, the unmistakable Kush spiciness becomes apparent.
It also becomes apparent that Sucker Punch well deserves its name. This is the strain to use when you really need some deep-level relaxation or heavy-duty pain-relief. Whether you’re troubled by insomnia, stress, tension headaches or a really severe case of the winter blues, this strain will punch all your troubles away and enable you to get some proper rest.
Sucker Punch is also a knockout choice for growers, particularly novices. As an Indica, it’s nicely compact, making it perfect for growing in small spaces. As an autoflowering variety, it is a great choice for growers who have restraints on their time, space, energy or resources in general. This strain flowers in about 10 weeks and therefore growers in at least moderately temperate climates could feasibly produce two harvests a year. Indoor growers who have complete control over their lighting can take advantage of the fact that although this strain does produce a large central cola, it also produces buds across numerous stems and this can be encouraged by ensuring that the whole plant is reached by the lights. In optimum conditions, this strain will produce excellent yields. In average conditions, it will still produce a respectable crop.
Although Sucker Punch is essentially an Indica and its effect is the deep relaxation you would expect, it does have high THC levels, in fact 20% or even slightly higher is perfectly feasible. This means that the overall effect of Sucker Punch can be described as “out but not down”. In other words, while this strain offers a deep, relieving stone rather than a high, the THC content keeps it refreshing, clean and positive.
