Sativa dominant Nebula weed is a cross between an American Haze (where it gets most of its Sativa genetics from) and Master Widow. A nebula is a bright patch of interstellar dust and gas visible in the night sky. For a special experience, smoke some Nebula then search for nebulas in the heavens – minutes will quickly turn into hours. Nebula came third in the Sativa section of the High Times Cannabis Cup in 1999 and second in 2005.
Nebula weed has a pungent aroma, both skunky and tropical, and the taste has notes of sweet fruit and honey. The soaring high is cerebral and stimulating – this is a great weed for hanging out with friends and good for daytime activities, as well as staring at the night sky. Medical practitioners recommend Nebula weed for poor appetite and stress.
Nebula seeds produce plants of 80 to 90 centimetres in height with large, fat buds that are covered in glittering crystals. When grown outdoors, the plants will stretch taller. THC levels are in the 16 to 20 percent range.
The Nebula strain is a natural for growing with the SOG method indoors and it appreciates lots of light. It will thrive in almost any growing medium and flowering time is eight to nine weeks. Yields are around 500 grams per square metre.
You can grow Nebula weed outdoors in cooler northern climes – just make sure to avoid frosts. Harvest comes in mid-October in the northern hemisphere and each plant can yield between 500 and 600 grams.
For a Sativa dominant strain, Nebula weed is easy to grow so it’s suitable for beginners as well as experienced gardeners. Harvests are abundant and the quality of the crop should satisfy even the most demanding of smokers.
