OG Kush
OG Kush or ‘Ocean Grown’ as it’s known in some circles is an extremely potent Indica marijuana strain that comes from the San Fernando Valley in Southern California. Rumour has it the OG Kush strain made its way to California under the name Chemdawg as a first generation clone. As a result it was only been available as a clone until recent years.
The smoke is what makes OG Kush a connoisseur’s choice. The first hit is an earthy, musty flavor with an aftertaste of lemon. Be warned, the instant kick delivered can catch even the hardiest of smokers off guard. Euphoric effects are to be expected with some visuals and a high that lasts anything up to three hours.
If grown correctly OG Kush seeds produce dense highly crystalline buds with visible THC crystals peppering the surface. It’s a popular choice for medicinal users thanks to its high THC content, which has been measured at around 25%.
OG Kush seeds favor an indoors setup preferably using hydroponics. If grown correctly using a SCROG or SOG setup growers can expect to yield between 400-500 grams per square metre. It’s not the biggest yielding strain, however, the quality of the bud more than makes up for it. Average flowering time is 7-8 weeks depending on grow conditions.
Whilst growing outdoors isn’t out of the question growers should take particular care. Plenty of sunlight and almost tropical conditions are required to make it a worthwhile project.
The ‘OG’ in OG Kush might stand for ‘original gangsta’, ‘ocean grown’ or ‘organically grown’, either way it’s a top quality strain that should be handled with care.

Two weeks veg eight weeks flower then harvest dry for six days then in a jar for two weeks know ready to smoke good luck.
Currently growing my Og in coco coir. Let me say this about her.she is one picky Bitch!i wouldn’t recommend this strain for first time growers.
OG Kush is 85% Sativa dominant and 15% indica, unless it’s not the original as you state it to be.
Its not any gangster crap that this strain was named for…the og stands for “ocean grown” and came out of sunset beach, ca. Please stop spreading misinformation.

NO! U can’t harvest in 8 or 9 weeks after starting seedlings . depending on what seeds U are planting , it should have 4-6 weeks vegetative growth, then 7-10 weeks (sometimes longer) FLOWERING. Watch your buds , they will tell U when to harvest , just wait for them to get 50%-60% amber , then harvest.
I am planning to plant some seeds now. Can I start harvest after the 8th or 9th week? Only a couple of weeks after flowering is possible? Thanks
