Purple Wreck

Purple Wreck hails from California, like so many of the potent modern strains that we’re so lucky to able to choose from in modern times. It’s an Indica dominant weed that growers from the legendary Reserva Privada collective created by crossing two well-respected strains, Purple Urkle and Train Wreck.

The Purple Wreck strain has a hash like smell with notes of pine and fleshly dug earth while the taste displays tones of fruit, incense and spice. This weed gives a potent, long-lasting hit characterised by a powerfully narcotic high that can lead to a period of couchlock if you over-indulge. Medical dispensaries recommend it for muscular pain relief and for insomnia.

The plants grow quite short with lots of branches and leaves which are a light green colour, with a purplish tint developing as they reach maturity.
The abundant buds are large and heavy with a pronounced purple colour. THC content is high at 20 percent.

Indoor growing is the best way to go with Purple Wreck seeds. It does equally well with soil or hydro mediums and it thrives with the SOG growing method. Flowering time is about eight weeks and well tended plants will produce a harvest of between 400 and 500 grams per square metre.

If you want to grow this strain outdoors, you really need to live somewhere with a climate at least as hot as the Mediterranean. Harvest in the northern hemisphere comes in early October.

Purple Wreck combines the best characteristics of its two parents, Purple Urkle and Train Wreck, which means that it’s vigorous and fast growing and produces a heavy crop with top quality flavor and potency.
