Venom OG is a 70% Indica-dominant cross between Poison OG and Rare Dankness #1.  This strain can have very variable THC.  That means it’s important to know both your seed source and your marijuana basics.

The THC content of Venom OG can range between 11% and 28%.  For the most part, however, it’s likely to be in the 15% to 20% range.  This  is still plenty to treat a wide range of conditions.  The prevalence of Indica genetics means the high is relatively restrained.  It’s happy and upbeat but still fairly chilled.  CBD content is typically between 0.1% and 1%.  At the lower end, this is unlikely to leave you couchlocked, but will leave you very relaxed.  At the upper end, you may find that you struggle to get up for a bit.  In either case, be prepared with something to snack on and some water.

One key point to understand about Venom OG is that it does tend to take its own good time to get to work.  Realistically, you can expect to need to wait about 15 minutes before you feel anything.  Once it does get going, however, you will certainly notice it.  Interestingly, for all its Indica genetics, it does tend to leave people fairly clear-headed.  That said, you will need to ensure you are fully refocussed before doing anything complicated, like driving.  Overall Venom OG is a nicely flexible strain which can be used day or night.

Indoors, Venom OG will typically grow to about 1.5M in height.  It needs 7 to 8 weeks of flowering and can deliver up to 400g/m2.  Outdoors it tends to grow to around 2M.  The harvest period is late September to early October and it can deliver up to 550g per plant.  Like most marijuana strains, Venom OG definitely prefers a warm, dry, sunny climate.  North of the Mediterranean basin, it’s important to choose a very sheltered growing site.

As previously mentioned, the exact THC content of Venom OG will depend partly on genetics and partly on how it is grown.  Basically, the longer you leave the plants to mature, the more THC they will have. There does come a point, however, when the THC “maxes out” and the returns diminish.

The taste of Venom OG clearly references the Kush family.  The base is of earth and hash spices.  There’s also a clear note of fuel.  This is all topped with fresh citrus lemon and menthol pine.
