AK49 Auto – Vision Seeds

Technically speaking, AK49 Auto is based on AK49 plus Lowryder.  In actual fact, AK49 was developed out of old-school classic AK47 (a legendary strain in every sense of the phrase).  So essentially AK49 Auto is a pint-sized autoflowering Sativa and in this day and age where many people have a lot more stress than growing space, that, in itself, has to make this strain worth a look.

In terms of taste, AK49 Auto is a blend of sweet wood and skunk pungency.  It’s a refreshing change from the numerous variations on fruit or candy sweetness and skunk and has real body to it.  The skunk really comes out in the fragrance, but it’s counterbalanced by the sweet taste of freshly-ploughed earth and there’s a spicy edge to it for extra interest.

AK49 Auto has 20% THC, which is enough to deal with physical pain and to lift people out of negative emotional states and into that euphoric, totally positive and utterly energizing Sativa high.  As you come back safely to earth, you’ll feel a gentle, zen-like body buzz, but as AK49 Auto really is a pocket-sized Sativa rather than an Indica with a lot of THC, so you’ll soon be in a state where you can move on with you life and enjoy a new-found feeling of get-up-and-go.  In other words, AK49 Auto is generally best used in the daytime rather than when you want to settle down to sleep.

As we’ve indicated already, AK49 Auto is one of the shortest Sativa dominants around.  Indoors it can stay as short as 50 cm and outdoors it will rarely grow beyond 70 cm.  Obviously, plants this small are going to have less physical space for buds, but even so, you can get pretty decent yields from AK49 Auto, up to 250g/m2 indoors and 50g per plant outdoors.  You’ll also collect your crop in just 9 weeks from planting (that’s seed to bud), so all in all, AK49 Auto does offer very good overall value for the space and time it needs.

This is one Sativa beginners can grow and we hope the future brings more like it.  Over recent years, the world of marijuana has become dominated by Indicas, which is understandable since their compact size makes them very suitable for the limited growing space many people have today.  At the same time, while Indicas are coming with ever-higher levels of THC, they still tend to be “night-time strains” whereas AK49 Auto offers all the benefits of a traditional “daytime” Sativa, just in a much smaller size.
