Energy Haze

Energy Haze is a Sativa dominant strain created by crossbreeding Northern Lights and Kali Mist. One of the top all-time performers in the High Times Cannabis Cup, Northern Lights has one eight awards over the years, including first place overall in 1993. Kali Mist doesn’t have quite as distinguished a pedigree, but it’s been a popular choice in the Amsterdam coffeeshop scene for many years and three times has won places in the Cannabis Cup.

The Energy Haze strain has a sweet skunky aroma and the flavor includes notes of exotic spices and citrus. The high is energizing and active, so if you’ve got things to do, you can safely smoke a couple of tokes of this weed. Its upbeat effects also make it good for parties and socializing. Medical practitioners prescribe this weed for poor appetite and stress.

The plants grow quite tall and have pale green leaves with long fingers. The buds are conical and display a coating of glittering crystals. THC level has been measured in the lab at 14.6 percent.

Indoors, Energy Haze will thrive in soil or hydro with soil enhancing the flavor and hydro increasing the yields. Flowering time is quite long at 10 to 11 weeks, although this is standard for a Sativa. Yields are in the 500 to 600 grams per square metre range.

To thrive outdoors, the Energy Haze strain needs plenty of warm sunshine so it’s best grown somewhere with a climate at least as hot as the Mediterranean. Harvest in the northern hemisphere comes in mid to late October.
