Critical Daddy
While the name may sound a bit questionable, balanced hybrid Critical Daddy is actually a highly-lauded cross of two classics Critical and Grandaddy Purple. It’s winning a lot of friends among both medical and recreational users. Beginners, however, should take care, as this strain has around 25% THC and hence is one of the most powerful varieties out there.
One reason for its appeal is the taste, which comes from the Critical Mass side. It’s full of berry fruitiness and hints of a quality wine. It’s definitely on the sweet side, but stops well short of sickly and there’s plenty of depth and body to it. The aroma is exactly what you’d expect from the taste.
Medically, the super-high THC content makes Critical Daddy one of the best strains around when it comes to fast-acting and powerful pain relief. It can be a good choice for dealing with severe nausea and calming anxiety. Generally speaking, this is a day time strain, but if you’re suffering from insomnia which you know or feel is caused by physical pain or emotional conditions such as stress, then Critical Daddy could be a feasible solution.

If you’re looking for a strain which looks good as well as doing you good, Critical Daddy should definitely be high on your list of options. It has all the glorious purples and oranges of its illustrious (gran)daddy. It also provides a pretty respectable yield for such a quick-growing and relatively compact strain, offering in the region of 350-400g/m2. Yes there are much higher-yielding varieties out there, but they tend to need much more time and/or growing space.
Generally speaking, Critical Daddy is a fairly straightforward strain to grow, the one point to watch is that the wonderful aroma is very much in evidence while the plant is growing and can easily get towards overpowering and/or neighbour annoying, so it’s a good idea to look at air filters and/or careful positioning.
